Cong leader seeks votes for PDP candidate | Politics is a dirty game' | | Early Times Report
Bani, Dec.16: Father of Nation has rightly said that politics is a dirty game and leaders can go to any extent to grab power. His worthy saying has been proved right. Rajesh Sharma Congress Candidate for Bani constituency is begging votes for his father Mangat Ram Sharma who recently joined People's Democratic Party at the age of 87. It is relevant to mention here that Rajesh's brother Subash Sharma frays election from Kathua constituency on PDP's ticket who never leaves any stone unturned to criticize working of Congress government in J&K. Rajesh Sharma , who is unknown for people of the Bani constituency, is a parachute candidate. Congress launched Sharma after denied ticket to its traditional veteran candidate. Mangat Ram Sharma was veteran congress leader and close associate of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi who gave up whole his life to the party. He was Congress MP, rewarded with Deputy Chief Ministership and renowned personality in Jammu and Kashmir but due to allegedly neglecting, he recently joined PDP. Rajesh Sharma and his supporters are seeking votes on Mangat Ram Sharma's supremacy where they are counting working of his father during his long tenure for the development of the state. Ironically, Rajesh's another brother Subash Sharma, PDP candidate for Kathua constituency also counting the working of his PDP's leader father in his campaign. |
