Azad treads on Mughal road in Rajouri

Rajouri, Dec 16 : Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Union Health Minister and JK Chief Minister who has been camping in Rajouri district for the last two days has said that almost all the People friendly schemes and developmental projects have been implemented/ started in J&K by the UPA led government and during his tenure as Chief Minister. Taking to task National Conference (NC) , Ghulam Nabi Azad said that three generations of Abdullha family have failed to deliver people friendly projects/schemes during their regimes.
Addressing several rallies at Thanamandi (Rajouri), Peeri (Darhal),Moughla in favor of Shabir Khan, (Rajouri), Mohd Iqbal Malik (Darhal), Mougla (Kalakot) Ghulam Nabi Azad said that whatever Congress has achieved during our short span of governance in J&K was very ahead of the rules of National Conference. "Construction of historical Mughal road, sanctions of several administrative blocks in all parts of the state including Rajouri district , creations of new districts, sanction of Medical Colleges including at Rajouri, establishing of new hospitals. Construction of new roads, water & supply schemes were started/complete3d during Congress regime' Said Ghulam Nabi. He added that the decision to end era of Custodial killings was started during his regime and in a specific incident 14 police personnel including some senior officers were put behind the bars for killing three labourers I custody terming them as terrorists. He added that he had given representation to Rajouri-Poonch districts by including Shabir Ahmed Kahn (MLA from Rajouri) into his cabinet. Making scathing attack on National Conference (NC) leadership Ghualm Nabi said, "Shabir is innocent and was purportedly involved in the sex scandal for which NC is responsible as he has a proof in shape of a audio cassette that carries the conversation of two women talking to trap Khan´said Ghulam Nabi.
He appealed to vote in favor of Shabir Khan and other Congress candidates contesting for four constituencies. He added and regret that no action/investigation was conducted into audio tape. He added that the people of J&K will reject BJP's divisive policies to rule the state and +44 is a day dream of this party that has been coming out against any post poll alliance after smelling defeat in the last four phases of polling. "It is Congress party which is an only secular party and Ghulam Nabi Azad who can fight against such forces and bring development in the state" said Nabi.
