| Dogri Department Scholars meet Registrar | | Give representation in favour of Prof Manhas, demand action against notorious elements | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 16 : A delegation of senior research scholars of Department of Dogri, Jammu University today met with the Registrar Prof. MK Dhar and expressed their anguish against those elements who are making false allegation against one of the professor of the department thus causing damage to the image of the department, Jammu University as well as of the professor and demanded stern action against such elements.
The scholars in their representation to the registrar demanded stern action against the people who are blackmailing the university authorities and pressurizing to take action against the professor.
Scholars, while interacting with Registrar said that Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas is a senior most professor of the department and is well known for helping the scholars and students community in general and alleged that such allegations on him shows that few people are taking any personal revenge from him.
They also apprised the registrar that the candidate who leveled the allegations against Prof. Manhas is herself never remained regular in the department from the last two and half years she is doing government job on permanent basis as a teacher and is disconnected from the research work. During those years she never showed any progress of her research and now just pressurizing the professor to do her work so that she can get promotion in her job.
The scholars in one voice said that such person be not given space who are demolishing the image of the university. They also demanded to deals with such persons with strict norms. The delegation was comprised of Sheetal Sharma, Bavitakumari, Sapna, Sonika , Rita, Poonam, Vicky, Rituraj, Praduman, Shiv, Manoj and Rakesh. |
