NEW DELHI, Dec 25: Commenting over present political developments in the Jammu and Kashmir, Kudan Kashmiri chief Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today said that BJP must avail an opportunity to form the government in the state at its own with the support of NC and seven others headed by Dr Jitender Singh as Chief Minister of state.
In a press statement issued from New Delhi, he said, that this nature of opportunity cannot come again and again for BJP as at present it became possible only due to Modi wave. "BJP led Govt in the state of J&K would help to Indianize the situation in the Kashmir valley, to control the misuse of central funds and corruption, he stated while adding, "it will further help to settle grave issues of the state which include re-settlement and rehabilitation of displaced KPs and of PAK refugees in the state as well."
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri stated, "BJP led government t would help to demoralize the pro-Pak elements and their writ would diminish in valley besides helping BJP to make inroads in area of influence in Muslim dominated areas of valley to gain its foothold. "Nationalist forces and other Indian elements would get encouraged and emboldened, he said adding, " new government would also pave way to at least to initiate debate and discussion over merits and de-merits of Article 370 and mitigate the grievances of Jammuities.
Kudan Kashmiri KPC Chief further stated that in case BJP failed to avail this opportunity and helped PDP to form the Govt. in the state, that would not be in over all interest of the nation, nationalist forces as well as in the interest of the state. Dubbing Mufti Mohd Sayeed and his daughter Mehbooba Mufti shrewd enough, he alleged them of double standard politicians of the state. "Their Self- Rule Agenda, pressure tactics for initiating dialogue with Pakistan, Hurriyat and other Pro- PaK elements by Indian in respect of Kashmir is their sole objective in order to take Kashmir away from Indian nation, he said, adding, "Mufti led Govt in state will adversely affect the BJP in Jammu and state as well."
Suggesting provision of elevating Omar Abdullah as cabinet Minister at the centre and accommodating elected NC members in state cabinet would work at this juncture. KPC Chief also added that PDP's demand for dual currency in J&K, soft corner for militants, separatists, role in Amarnath Land Row -2008 and needs to be kept in consideration before giving a thought to get or give support from PDP.
KPC also has hailed conferring Bharat Rattan award to veteran leader Attal Bihari Bajpayee and Late Pt M M Malviya for their great contribution towards nation,
Other activists were R L Raina, SL Zuthsi, Susheel Bhat, Ashok Raina, Rinku Razdan, L N Bhat, Taj Pandita and Dr T K Bhat also spoke on this occasion.
