| DIG Attri hails 'security forces' for their role in smooth conduct of Assembly polls | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 25: While appreciating the role of personnel of security forces and J&K police for their active role in the smooth conduct of recently held Assembly elections, DIG police Rajouri -Poonch range, AK Attri congratulated them for their hard working.
"Since the notification for the election was announced and till the counting day all the personnel including Special Police Officers (SPOs) to district SSPs worked hard ad ensured incident free campaigning and polling process" said DIG A K Attri.
He also appreciated the functioning of personals of other Security Forces employed on poll duty and said that conduct of polls in Rajouri and Poonch was indeed a major challenge for authorities as most of the areas of these districts are located along with Line of Control and are exposed to border firing / shelling , infiltration. He also appreciated the role of all the field police officers, including police post in-charges, Station House Officers (SHOs) , Dy SPs,who followed the directions of keeping vigil on miscreants and other elements who could have created hurdles in conduct of polls and ensured that their any such attempt failed.
DIG AK Atri lauded the role of SSP Rajouri Dr Hasseb Mughal and SSP Poonch JS Johar for managing to mobilise the department in a proper manner ahead of and during the polls and beside free and fair conduct of polls all the major political rallies including rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and etc.
Beside hailing the efforts of security agencies, DIG AK Atri has also hailed civil administrations of Rajouri and Poonch district for cooperating police department in every aspect. |
