| HC’s directive in PIL on Beggary Act | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 25: In a PIL seeking direction to implement the provisions of Prevention of Beggary Act, 1960 and Prevention of Beggary Rules in J&K and stop the menace of begging especially organized begging in the state, a high court division bench of Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur issued a directive to the commission of social welfare department. The court directive came in the PIL filed by advocate Parimoksh Seth. The bench observed that in response to the directions contained in earlier order, response has not been filed and then issued a directive to the commissioner of social welfare department. |
