| Vajpayee's birthday celebrated | | Atalji's tenure as PM marked as stable, progressive administration: Jugal Kishore | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 25: The 90th birthday of Atal Behari Vajpayee was celebrated at party headquarters at an impressive function.
According to press release, the birthday was celebrated as Sushasan Diwas as was in the rest of the country.
Apart from State President and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Senior leader Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Ashok Khajuria, Prof. Hari Om, Distt. President Subash Jandial, and State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul the celebratory function was amongst others also graced by newly elected MLAs-Sat Sharma (C.A), Rajesh Gupta, Kavinder Gupta, Sham Choudhary, Shakti Parihar, Lal Singh, R.S Pathania.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, said that Atalji's tenure as Prime Minister of the country was marked as that of stable, progressive, competent and strong administration. Atalji went out of his way to usher in a era of peace and friendship with Pakistan by taking bus to Lahore but when Pakistan replied with Kargil, it was administered a very befitting and resolute response which made it to eat a humble pie and enhanced the prestige of soldiers in the country.
This determined and effective reply to Pakistan's misadventure was fully acknowledged by the all world leaders and earned respect for the country.
Atalji had initiated policies for the social upliftment and integration of the entire country by executing quadrilateral national road project. The country had achieved maximum growth rate during this period.
Prof. Hari Om, in his keynote address, said that celebrating Atalji's birthday as Sushasan Diwas is to emphasize the importance of able and competent administration by Modi's government. He said that good administration is the corner stone of BJP's governance without any consideration of caste, creed, race or region. The BJP government is committed for "Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas" and this is going to be the signature mark of it in future. The people of the country have found this characteristic to be genuine and not a mere slogan as had been with UPA government. He further added that people have fully appreciated this hallmark of Modi administration and have been voting for BJP in various state election after parliamentary elections. The Modi's governance has raised the expectations of the people and good governance is the natural recipe for the same. |
