Kashmiri leaders pursuing communal agenda: SRS | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 14: expressing serious concerns over the recent developments in state politics, Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Jammu and Kashmir today said that the recent assembly elections result has exposed the real face of Kashmiri leadership. Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Jammu and Kashmir State president Rajiv Mahajan today said that truth has come out itself as all the Kashmiri leaders irrespective of their party affiliations and ideologies are mulling a proposal to join hand to keep Jammu out of power. "The possibility of some politicians from Jammu province leading the state has unnerved the Kashmiri leaders. National Conference, Congress and Peoples Democratic Party are joining hands to see to it that no politician from Jammu becomes Chief Minister of the state, he added. "Kashmir centric politics can't see anyone from Jammu as Chief Minister of the state," Mahajan said and added that they are pursuing the formula purely on communal lines. Mahajan said this is an eye opener for Jammu people and urged them to remain united to fight for the cause of Jammu region and to do away with Kashmiri domination. Mahajan also stated there is no provision in the state constitution which says that the office of the Chief Minister is the sole property of Kashmir and anyone from the state can become the Chief Minister provided he has the required support behind him. Mahajan further said that Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad mulled a proposal of grand alliance between NC, PDP and Congress. Omar Abdullah offered unconditional support to PDP in formation of government. All this drama planned to keep Jammu out of power. |
