Are Jammu NC MLAs ready to support BJP in Govt formation? | | | Sandeep Bhat Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: National Conference working president Omar abdullah has said that party MLAs from the valley will not enter into an alliance with BJP to form government in the state. Does it mean that Jammu-based MLAs are ready to support BJP in formation of government? The former chief minister has said in a statement issued to media that newly elected NC legislators from the valley will not enter into an alliance with BJP in formation of government. He made this statement after meeting them in Srinagar. He said that he was glad to have their endorsement of the line taken so far. Talking to Early Times, PDP spokesperson Nayeem Akhtar said that Omar was playing mind games now after leaving his chair before January 19. He said that PDP would not allow NC to form government through backdoor and added that why only valley legislators of National Conference oppose the forming of government in the state with BJP? Why Omar is silent on Jammu-based NC stalwarts? Does it mean that two legislators of National Conference of Jammu, including Devinder Rana (Nagrota) and Kamal Arora (Bishnah) are willing to forge an alliance with BJP. Nayeem asked why Omar only referred to the valley-based MLAs and not to the Jammu-based MLAs and one independent from Ladakh. This is double-speak of Omar abdullah and is aimed at diverting the attention of people of state. PDP will never fall in NC trap and will do everything to stop him from spreading rumors. Ravinder Sharma, Congress spokesperson, said Omar is speaking dual language one in Srinagar and the other in Jammu. He wants to keep the people of valley and Jammu in good humour. He said why NC was silent in refugees' issue which is a human issue. He said that by only saying that the valley candidates were not supporting BJP was a question to be answered. What about Jammu-based MLAs of NC, one of whom is a close relative of a BJP minister in the union government? Why Omar is not talking about all the MLAs of National Conference? It is pertinent to mention here that Omar, after coming from London, had given to the state governor a letter of support for PDP to form the next government and if political pandits are to be believed, he is playing mind games and want to create a situation for his opponents to fall in his trap. |
