Kathua, Jan.14: A delegation under the leadership of Rajeev Jasrotia, newly elected MLA Kathua today called on NN Vohra, Governor, Jammu and Kashmir and submitted a memorandum comprising several demands introduction of different development projects in Kathua. While informing to media, MLA Kathua Jasrotia said delegation raised several demands including Rs 3 crores for renovation of lanes and drainages in Kathua constituency falling under Municipal Council, Kathua, Rs 50 lakh for Municipal Committee Nagri, Rs 55 crore for 10 major roads in all the three regions like Andhar, Kandi & City, Rs 6 crores for Kathua and adjoining villages under PHE for immediate renovation of government installed hand pumps, Rs 2.80 crores under PDD for electric poles and repair of wires across the constituency. He also demanded Agriculture Sub-division office at Kathua. He also raised the issue of vacant post including 48 posts of Surgeons in District Hospital Kathua. Apart from this MLA Kathua also demanded to generate funds for beautification and renovation of Dream Park Kathua. Railway station for district Kathua was also demanded in memorandum. Jasrotia told media that he also has raised various other issues before Governor including release of monthly remuneration of volunteers in education sector with immediate effect. He also demanded regularization of Contractual lecturers and Rehbar-e-Zirat. Besides MLA Kathua Jasrotia delegation comprised Vijay Sharma, Distt President BJP, Ramesh Gupta, Vidya Sagar, Sanjeev Vaid, Col. PL Choudhary, Narendra Kala, Chatter Singh and Sarpanchs and Panchs of Kathua and Hiranagar. |
