| LPU NSS volunteers propagated PM's ideology to villagers | | |  Agencies
JALANDHAR, Jan 14: NSS volunteers from Community Services Cell of Lovely Professional University organized seven day winter camp at village Nangal Majja in Phagwara. Volunteers propagated Prime Minister's ideology and passion to the villagers on the theme of "Clean India, Green India, Skilled India". In all 85 volunteers participated (62 Male & 23 Female) from 10 Units of NSS at the University. Village Sarpanch had made arrangements for their 24 hours stay on all the days at local Gurudwara Sahib of the village. The concluding ceremony was chaired by LPU Director General Er HR Singla. Lady Sarpanch and members of the Panchayat also graced the occasion along with many other eminent persons of the village. The Head of LPU community Services Cell presented detailed report about the Camp, and volunteers presented cultural program with thematic song of the camp. Congratulating the volunteers for successful outcome of the camp, LPU Director General Er HR Singla invoked them to take camp as a lesson to be always ready to provide services for community development. Mr Singla also advised volunteers should chalk out more initiatives to eradicate all ills from the society. As per schedule, volunteers observed cleanliness drives including whitewashing of Ambedkar Bhawan, sweeping of different streets of the village and installation of dustbins. |
