Akhnoor, Jan 14: in a bid to enhance enrollment in government schools, the government schools of Pargwal area, Zone Jourian, organized a community mobilization awareness programme at Government Middle School, Bhalwal Mullo here today.
The programme was jointly organized by Govt Middle School IAY Colony, MS Channi Tana, MS Bhalwal Mullo, MS Rajpura and Primary School Chibe Chak and was attended by PTAs, MTAs, VEC members, Panches, headmasters of primary and middle schools and locals. The campaign was organized with an aim to aware the people of the area to get their children enrolled in the Govt schools.
Faculty members and others who addressed the occasion spoke at length on the need for community mobilization and called upon masses to extend full support to the enrolment drive. They also explained in detail the benefits provided under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes/State Schemes to the students studying in Govt Schools and stressed the people of the area to enroll their wards in Govt Schools so that benefit of the schemes percolates to all the children.
Prominent among present on occasion were Jagdish Singh Manhas, Darshan Lal, Ranjit Singh, Kuldeep Raj Verma, Bindu Manhas, Anuradha Verma and many others. |
