JAMMU, Jan 14: Ajit Club defeated Army Public School (APS) Miran Sahib 3-0 to advance into the next round of the ongoing IInd Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub-junior Hockey Tournament, organised by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today.
Gurpreet Singh played a key role in Ajit Club win striking in the 15th and 20th minute of the match. Third goal came in the 50th minute through Pawandeep Singh.
Earlier, in the first match of the day, Sittu Club got walkover Bhag-e-Bein Hockey Club.
In today's match, social worker, Jagdish Shastri of Reasi was special guest, who interacted with the teams encouraged the young teams. Also present were Sant Waryam Singh, Pinku Goswami, Tirlok Singh and Davinder Bakshi.
Today's match officiated by the technical penal including Jagjit Singh, Ravinder Singh, Joginder Singh and GS Bakshi.
FIXTURE: Hira Nagar Club shall take on Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey club at 1.30 pm; Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hockey Club to face MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp at 2.30 pm tomorrow. |
