| Romeo Force organises debate competition | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu/Rajouri, Jan 14: In an effort to integrate the school children with the national mainstream and to promote interest amongst the students from far flung area of Rajouri and Poonch districts on the occasion of Army Day, Rashtriya Rifles Battalions under Romeo Force organised inter School Debate Competition at Government Higher Secondary School Darhal and Saaj.
Defence spokesperson said that topic for the debate was "Indian Army : Pride of the Nation in War and Peace and Women Empowerment".
In his address Mohd Mahri, Principal Government Higher School, Darhal said that aim of organising such events was to promote educational interest in the region and create atmosphere of peace and harmony. The participants were given prizes while the winner and runners-up team members were given mementoes after te performances were adjudged by a panel of judges. Locals and parents of students opinioned that event evoked considerable interest and is bound to assist in improving civil military relations and in wining the hearts and minds of the people in the region. |
