JAMMU, Jan 14: Republic Day arrangements were finalized in a meeting of senior officers held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu here today.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Director Information Mukhtar-ul-Aziz, Director School Education, R. A. Inqlabi besides senior officers of Police, Youth Services and Sports, Education, R&B, PHE, PWD, PDD and other concerned departments.
Taking stock of the arrangements being made by the different departments and agencies, Divisional Commissioner asserted that all arrangements need to be put in place well before time for smooth and successful conduct of the national event.
Arrangements for barricading, seating, face-lifting, march past, full dress rehearsal, sanitation, transport, security, display of tableau, illumination of government buildings, medical arrangements, drinking water, playing of Mangal Dhawani, flag hoisting, traffic, fire tenders discussed in length besides the arrangements for week long cultural programmes being organized by Information Department, RK Jammu, Doordarshan and Youth Services & Sports were also discussed threadbare.
Divisional Commissioner emphasized upon the officers to put in their best efforts and maintain liaison to ensure that the prestigious event is held in a befitting manner. |
