DODA, Jan 14: In continuation to the celebration of 26th Road Safety Week-2015 across the Doda district which started on 11th January 2015 free medical camps were organized at Doda town, Bhaderwah, Thatri and Gandoh areas by Motor vehicles Department (Doda) in collaboration with Traffic Police NH and Medical Department Doda. While inaugurating the Medical camp at Doda, Chief Medical Officer Doda, Mohammad Yaqoob Mir highlighted the importance for maintaining proper health by the drivers. He advised all the persons in general and driver community in particular to undergo regular medical checkups as their healthy body and mind is necessary for safe transportation of the passengers.
He further, informed that all the medical camps organized across the districts have the facilities of free vision test, colour defect identification, hearing test, blood sugar checkup facilities besides free medicines are provided to the drivers, cleaner and visitors in all the camps. Staff of medical department is deputed at all the medical camps to counsel and guide the drivers for maintaining healthy life style. Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Doda Ravi Shankar, Inspector DTI Doda.G.H Kamaal, Doctors, para-medical staff of District Hospital Doda among others were present on the occasion during the inauguration ceremony. |
