JAMMU, Feb 9: Even after two years since the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board advertised 520 posts in various departments vide advertisement notification No. 1 of 2013 Dated 16-2-2013, 15 posts of Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI); have remained unfilled even as all other posts have either been filled up by the recruiting agency or the process of the selection is at advance stage. As per the details available with ET, JKSSB advertised 520 posts in the year 2013 vide advertisement notification No. 1 of 2013 dated 16-2-2013in different departments including Industries & commerce Department, Forest, Draftsmen civil, PHE, FC&I, Agriculture production and others; while all such posts stand filled by the recruiting agency, 15 posts of Motor Vehicle Inspector (8 for Kashmir and 7 for Jammu Division) have remained unfilled. While talking to ET, an aspirant who had applied for the said post pleading anonymity said that nearly 100 candidates applied against these 15 advertised posts after purchasing the application form that costed Rs. 200. He said that these 100 unemployed youths belonged to different areas of the state and reached Jammu or Srinagar after spending hefty amount on traveling and stay and termed it as a matter of great resentment that main recruiting agency of the state is playing delay tactics to initiate the process for filling of these advertised posts. He said that by filling all other posts advertised in the same notification and not filling the 15 posts of the MVI raised suspicion over the functioning of JKSSB . He said that even the posts advertised by the JKSSB after notification 1 of 2013 have been filled up, but the aspirants having the qualification degree in MVD related courses are facing uncertainty and harassment. Another job aspirant who applied for the post of MVI said that several representations were made to secretary and Chairman JKSSB from time to time, but they too failed to take any initiative towards filling of these advertised posts. He said that any further delay on part of the JKSSB will put a question mark on the functioning of this recruiting agency. |
