Jammu, Feb 9: The Secretary Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Department J&K, Baseer Ahmed Khan sought the details of the Annual Property Returns (APR) from the employees of the department. The action was taken after there were series of complaints of amassing of wealth, illegally, by the employees of the department, specifically, Tehsil Supply Officers (TSOs). According to official spokesperson, earlier the Secretary CA&PD had convened a high level meeting with Director CA&PD and Assistant Directors of districts, HPCL and FCI officers in Civil Secretariat Srinagar to review the availability of food grains, SKO, LPG etc. He said, "The participating members during this meeting informed the chairperson that in the valley at present there is availability of Rice 58271 Mts, Sugar 711 Mts and Wheat 11495 Mts." 'Besides a buffer stock of 3200 LPG cylinders with further more storage of 147000 cylinders, spokesperson said while adding, ". There is no shortage of K. Oil as Government has enhanced 4 KL Liters recently. Secretary emphasized to have frequent market checking so that public will not suffer.'
