Jammu, Feb 9: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) sought fulfillment of long pending demands here on Monday. According to press release, a meeting of MULBPA was held under chairmanship S Attar Singh vice president of the association. Speaking on the occasion he urged upon Governor NN Vohra to fulfill their demands. "Release of two DA installments i.e 10 percent from January 2014, and seven percent from July 2014. Enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, Additional pensionary benefits after the age of 80 years at par with Central Govt, as per recommendation of sixth pay commission", they demanded. They further said, "Bifurcation monthly pensionary funds of the civic body pensioners likewise state government pensioners. "Removal of amongst family pensioner (safai Karamcharis)", he demanded, adding that it was resolved that to elect office bearers and members of the association, all the pensioners of the civic bodies have been invited for their participation in the election. |
