BSP expresses concern over degradation of soil globally

Jammu, Feb 9: Former state president and senior leader of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Tulsi Dass Lengeh expressed concern over the degradation of soil globally about 17 percent, live-stock 11 percent and population sustained only 2 percent of the world's land and water resources analysts' year 2015.
In a statement issued here, he the analysts designated as the internation year for the soil by the UNO and December was commemorated as world's soil day to acknowledge the beautifull nature of the earth's life as soil is base for food and live-stock system.
"It has been predicated by the analysts that by the year of 2030 worlds population will be 8.5 billion and Indians population will be 1.5 billion," he stated and adding the analysts have also predicted that keeping in view the soil of population farmers would have to grow 30 percent more grain by the year of 20130, which will be difficult to achieve the target.
