| BDP fund misused, people seek inquiry | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 9:- The fund meant for development in villages falling along International border is allegedly not utilized properly and diverted towards other villages. Residents of Chak Bhagwana Panchayat alleged administration to divert the funds to other villages under the political pressure and people who genuinely deserve the facilities under Border Development Programme (BDP) deprived.
It is pertinent to mention here that the villagers could not get fund from last three successive years.
They raised their voice at all political and non-political platforms against government and local administration but gained nothing than assurance. Rakesh Kumar Sarpanch Chak Bhagwana called on DDC Kathua and demanded for proper utilization of Fund being released under Border Development Programme.
He further said that the fund being released under Border Development Programme, BDP, meant for the development of villages falling along International Border is not properly utilized for the development of dozens of villages.
He informed that the fund had been released in last three consecutive years but in other villages than falling along IB. They further demanded to utilize the fund meant for their village properly.
DDC Kathua ensured the deputation to intervene the matter and said an estimate will be formed to utilize the BDP Fund in genuine villages. |
