JAMMU, Feb 9: Organised by the J&K Sambo Association, the IInd State (boys and girls) Championship got underway at Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, Patoli here today.
The two-day competition was declared open by Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas, who was chief guest. He also witnessed a couple of bouts in the lower age groups and also presented medals to those winners.
Member Legislative Assembly, Sat Sharma, who happens to be president of the Association, was guest of honour. Among others present were Bhanu Jasrotia, Vikas Gupta, Suraj Bhan Singh, Amrik Singh, Krishan Sambyal, Parminder Singh, Sukhvinder Singh and Rajiv Sharma.
Today's bouts officiated by the technical penal comprising Akhil Badkuliya, Kawaljeet Singh, Komal Gupta and Rahil Shafi.
