Khalsa, YCC win ties in Police T20 | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Feb 9: Khalsa Club and YCC won their respective matches to advance in the ongoing J&K Police Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Government Degree College ground, here today. In the first match of the day, Khalsa Club defeated Malik Cricket Club by a huge margin of 104 runs. Batting first, Khalsa scored 147 runs with Aman being top scorer with 39 runs while Sarvjeet contributed 37. From Malik Club, Mukhtar and Shabbir took four and two wickets respectively. In reply, Malik Club bowled out for just 43 runs thus suffered a humiliating defeat. Riaz Dar was top scorer with 16 runs. The second match won by YCC after they outplayed Zaffar Cricket Club Poonch by 37 runs. Earlier, batting first, YCC set a target of 142 runs. Zahid, Pritpal and Wahid were highest scorers with 33, 28 and 26 runs in their respective accounts. Rahil emerged as most successful bowler, who took three wickets for 24 runs from Zaffar Club. Later, Zaffar Club could not maintain the needed run rate and finished their innings for 105 runs. With 18 runs in his account, Imran remained top scorer. Zahid and Rocky shared three wickets each from YCC. Pritpal and Parvaiz Ahmed were umpires. In today's matches, Chief Executive Officer, Municipality Committee, Poonch, Irshad Sofi was special guest, who interacted with the teams. He was accompanied by Tariq Khan, Matinder Pal Singh Monty and Daman Preet Singh. |
