| GDC Kathua welcomes R-day participants | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Feb 9: A welcome function was organized by 1st J&K Armd Sqn NCC wing of the Govternment Degree College, Kathua at NCC Training Ground to formally welcome the four NCC cadets of 1st J&K Armd Sqn NCC who returned after attending the "Republic Day Camp" at New Delhi. These cadets were the part of the NCC contingent of 101 cadets that represented the NCC Directorate of Jammu & Kashmir State.
During this camp SUO Rohit Sharma and Cadet Rajat Khanna brought laurels to the state as well as the Institution as they were selected to be the part of the NCC contingent that marched at Rajpath on Republic Day.
It is worth mentioning here that this chance is given only to 144 cadets of NCC from throughout the country on the basis of the Discipline and overall Turn Out of the Cadets.
Moreover, Cadet Sahil Balotra was selected for the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP)) for the year 2015-2016.He led the J&K contingent parade as Commander also. Cadet Sulakhan Singh was selected as singer in the Central Cultural Group.
The Principal of the College, Dr. B. L .Gupta, in his address welcomed and congratulated the NCC Cadets for bringing laurels to this institution. |
