Would Pak HC cancel invitations to separatists?
RSS extends olive branch to Pak

Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 17: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) Prant Sangh Chalak, Jammu and Kashmir, Brig Suchet Singh, has taken the separatists head on and has called them "silly people." He blamed them (separatists) for the animosity between India and Pakistan and advised the Government of India (GoI) to carry forward the talks process with the neighboring country.
It is for the first time in many years that any RSS leader has supported the India-Pakistan dialogue and has advised the Government not to pay any attention to the "silly people" (separatists).
"They (separatists) don't want us to be friendly with that country (Pakistan). We want good relations with our neighbours. We should continue on our aims and objectives rather than bothering about such silly people. Such a provocation by inviting them should not matter. We should continue with the dialogue (Pakistan) and in a positive manner," Singh told reporters.
Many people were surprised by the assertions of the RSS leader as RSS has always blamed Pakistan for spreading terror and backing Kashmiri separatists. For RSS Pakistan has always been an "evil incarnate."
There is no harm in what RSS leader has suggested but Pakistan High Commissioner in Delhi, Abdul Basit, should prove his country is sincere. He can prove the sincerity easily by cancelling the invitations he has sent to "silly people" (separatists in Kashmir) to attend the Pakistan day celebrations to be held in New Delhi on March 28.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "What Singh has said could be his personal opinion and not the official stand of RSS. There is no doubt of the fact that Pakistan has left no chance to bleed India. The neighboring country has been fighting a proxy war with India for the past 26-years and whenever it has got a chance it has backstabbed us."
He said that separatists are "silly people" as they have been epitomes of anti-national activities in Jammu and Kashmir. "These silly people are non-entities for India and its leaders but they have been pampered by Pakistan and their agents during all these years."
The analyst said, "Pakistan has always tested our patience and believes that our desire for peace is our weakness. Had that not been the case it would not have sent the terrorists to attack the Pathankot airbase just a few days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pakistan and extended a hand of friendship."
A politician said, "The statement of Brig Singh indicates that RSS has softened its stand and wants to back the BJP led Government at the Centre to hold talks with Pakistan. We are not against the talks but talks cannot be held for the sake of it."
"There is no harm in engaging with Pakistan but we need to bear it in mind that it should be a sincere process. History stands testimony to the fact that Pakistan has never been sincere. It promotes terrorism on one side and on other it wants to keep us busy by holding goodie-goodie talks," he added.
