Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 16: It seems that the bureaucrats have intentionally kept the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Rajouri vacant for the reasons best known to them only.
"It is known fact that the District Rajouri is very sensitive and owing to cross border shelling and communal clashes and the decision of the bureaucrats to kept the post vacant for past much time is serious in nature and need to be probed", said a senior civil administration officer adding that the ongoing agitation in the district adds more vows owing to vacant post.
According to sources, in the last week of July of 2017, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mumtaz Ali was transferred to Public Service Commission (PSC) after which another Additional Deputy Commissioner joined there and went on personal leave for around 5 months and the post went vacant.
"The previous Additional Deputy Commissioner after joining the post went on personal leave for around 5 months and after that he joined back", said sources.
Sources further said that on January 25 of 2018, General Administration Department (GAD) ordered transfer of an officer as Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri.
But astonishingly the senior bureaucrats issued verbal directions to the said officer not to join his new place of posting.
In the transfer order of GAD 3 to 4 officers were also transferred and due to one officer the whole process has been kept abeyance, said sources and till date the post is lying vacant while Assistant Commissioner Rajouri (Revenue) has given additional charge of the post.
Locals of the area rued that this callous approach of the administration has made their life miserable as most of the work is affected.
They further said that either, the GAD should cancel the previous order or issue fresh directions for joining of the new officer and they demanded probe in this matter.
