IB official meeting Geelani disturbing
3/17/2018 7:25:17 PM
Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 16: Something is fundamentally wrong with the so-called nationalist BJP. The need of the time was to isolate and bring to justice pro-Pak elements, who are active in Kashmir to muddy Indian waters and provoke anti-India explosions, but, mercifully, the BJP-led Union Government is pampering and pandering to terrorists like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who have rid Kashmir of all non-Muslims.
Only on Thursday evening, an official of Intelligence Bureau (IB) knocked at the doors of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani and told him that New Delhi wanted to hold talks with him. What was the response of Geelani? Geelani rejected the dialogue offer.
Talking about the meeting between the IB official and Geelani, Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, according to a report from Srinagar, said that "a person who introduced himself from IB paid a visit at the residence of Geelani around 9:00 pm on Thursday. He offered fresh talks. However, Geelani Sahab made it clear that under prevailing atmosphere there is no possibility of talks."
"And we don't talk to IB people. The offer should come through a proper channel from the Government of India," Gulzar was further said quoting Geelani said, and added that "Geelani made it clear that under the prevailing situation which is 'indifferent, apathetic and appalling' no talks will prove fruitful and result oriented.
Report from Srinagar quoting Geelani's spokesperson further said: "It is responsibility of Indian leadership to prepare conducive atmosphere for talks between all its stakeholders, including Pakistan".
The BJP-led NDA Government has once again proved that it has neither the will nor the capacity to deal with separatists, who are responsible for the ongoing communal violence in the Valley. This approach will only damage the national interest in the state and demoralize the patriotic forces in the state.
