Jammu, Mar 27: Following the announcement of the Army Chief, Gen. Bipin Rawat,that terrorists be eliminated in clean operations and after the state police was being equipped with latest weapons and 150 bullet-proof gypsies indications are that the ensuing summer months may experience series of counter insurgency operations against militants.
The Central Govern-ment and the state authorities are worried over the increase in the number of youth joining militancy and in this connection operation against militants could be stepped up. It is in the context of stepping up counter insurgency operations that the Jammu and Kashmir Police is all set to include over 150 bulletproof gypsies in its fleet, a step taken after increasing terror attacks on forces, a police official said. |
