Thathri, Mar 27: The members of Thathri Development Front, District Doda, Ram Rattan Manhas, K.K. Rao, Kanwar Jeet Singh Thakur, Om Raj Bhall, Yog Raj Sharma & Behari Lal Bhagat have appealed the State Government to up-grade Thathri Sub-Division like that of Koteranka, Basohli, Billawar, Bhadarwah , Nowshera, Sunderbani & Kalakote.
They have termed the up-gradation of Sub-Divisions as a pick & choose policy of the BJP-PDP coalition government ignoring the strong & genuine claim of other deserving Sub-Divisions. They said that without framing any concrete policy in up-grading such administrative units, such attempts tantamount to appeasing certain political bosses with political considerations. It appears that the present coalition Government has surpassed the previous successive Governments, in doing irrational, illogical & arbitrary acts purportedly in public interest. They expressed deep concern over the neglect of Thathri Sub-Division in this behalf which comprises of 5 Tehsils namely Thathri, Phagsoo, Kahara , Chiralla & Bhella which deserves to be up-graded to full-fledged District instead of having Addl. Dy. Commissioner, on top priority if at all there is some sanity in the present Government. They demanded Up-gradation of Thathri Sub-Division like that of Koteranka, Basohli, Billawar, Bhadarwah, Nowshera, Sunderbani & Kalakote Sub-Divisions without any further delay. |
