JK Grameen Bank excels in APY Programme

Jammu, Apr 5: Micro Finance and Financial inclusion Department, JK Grameen Bank under the Chairmanship of RK Chibber in collaboration with NABARD has successfully running Atal Pension Yojana campaign across the state.
The stress has also given on other social security schemes including PMSBY and PMJJBY. These programmes are intend to cover the unorganized sector including factory workers, hawkers and rural agricultural labour etc.
Under this initiative, more than 8000 APY enrolments has been covering most of the districts of the state including Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Kargil, Srinagar, Rajouri & Poonch. Apart from APY enrolment, people are also enrolled under GOI insurance schemes like PMJJBY & PMSBY. In order to enable 100% renewal of existing enrolments under PMSBY & PMJJBY, the SMS are sent to the customers on regular basis for maintaining a minimum balance of Rs.330 and Rs.12 only. At present, the claim settlement rate in the bank is 100%. People are also informed regarding the various schemes of the bank with special rate of interests including Car [email protected]%, Housing [email protected]% and Transport Loan@9%. The masses are also made aware about technological innovations in banking industry including NEFT/RTGS, Online Banking, IMPS, SMS Banking, Rupay Card, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System & Direct Benefit Transfer etc. to promote the digital banking and move towards the less-cash economy.
