PP Incharge removed for 'disobeying' boss
4/5/2018 11:12:41 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Apr 5: A Police Post (PP) Incharge posted in Jammu district was unceremoniously removed from the place of his posting because he failed to show promptness in obeying the orders of a senior police cop.
The senior police officer had called up the PP Incharge and recommended to help an accused.
Sources informed Early Times that as soon as the PP Incharge received the instructions from his superior to help an accused, he got annoyed with the person for whom the recommendation was made.
"The PP Incharge scolded the accused as he was upset that a recommendation for him was made by none other than a senior police officer," said sources.
Sources said that after the senior police officer came to know what transpired between the accused and the PP Incharge, he got infuriated with the behavior of his junior which ultimately led to the removal of PP Incharge form his place of posting.
"The PP Incharge was moved to a far off range so that he could be punished by adjusting him on an insignificant post. Not only this, the senior officer is also pushing hard for the non-inclusion of his junior as a probable adjustment as Incharge in any Police Post of the range where he has been sent.
The senior cop instead wanted to see that his subordinate should be handed over the charge of Investigating Officer," said sources.
Throwing light on the entire episode, the sources revealed that a killing took place in the jurisdictional area of PP Incharge and he managed to nab the accused involved in the case without wasting much time as public pressure was building up.
A case in this regard was registered at the Police Post and the accused went through rigorous rounds of questioning due to which the family members of the accused started to pressurize the PP Incharge, however, the police officer did not budge.
When the family members of the accused failed in their attempt to coerce the PP Incharge, they approached a senior police officer, who ultimately called up his junior and instructed him to provide rest and relief to the accused.
The family of the accused even sought that he be allowed to move to his residence in the night but the senior cop's phone call made the PP Incharge more stringent towards the accused as he got irritated with the fact that they tried to bully him through a senior officer.
The PP Incharge even tried to take other senior officers of the department into confidence in this regard so that the officer putting pressure on him could do nothing but the senior police officer took help from other officer and managed to shift the accused to the concerned police station where the accused was provided 'much needed' rest and also ensured that he is allowed to go to home in the night.
