CEO ERA reviews ongoing works of WSS

Jammu, Apr 5: CEO, ERA Farooq Ahmad Lone conducted site inspection of various ongoing Over Head Tank Projects in Jammu City.
The site inspection commenced with onsite visit at the OHT Paloura Top. CEO expressed his displeasure over the slow progress of work by the contractor and instructed the concerned officials to monitor the progress on regular basis for ensuring completion of project as per schedule.
Thereafter, CEO visited other OHT sites at Dilli, Nai Basti and Gandhi Nagar area.
Director Jammu apprised CEO that the basic structure of all the OHTs has been completed. The water testing and finishing works are going on.
During the site visit at Channi Himmat, CEO directed the contractor to increase the pace of the work otherwise strict action will be taken as per contractual stipulation.
He impressed upon the contractors and engineers to commission the OHTs by May 2018.
Director Jammu informed CEO that OHTs at Rajinder Nagar and fruit market Narwal have been commissioned and OHT at Dilli is also ready for commissioning.
Further, he apprised that 19 Tubewells have been completed and handover/takeover of documents of all the tube wells have been forwarded to PHE department.
CEO ERA was accompanied by Abdul Majid Shabnam, Director Jammu, J&K ERA, Ajay Gupta, Project Manager (Hyd.), J&K ERA and other senior officers of J&K ERA.
