Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 14 bovines rescued | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 5: Jhajjar Kotli police today claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling and rescued 14 bovines while arrested two persons besides seizing truck. Police spokesman said that today during wee hours a naka was raised at Suketar Jhajjar Kotli. "During checking a truck bearing registration number JK02BG-7385 was stopped for checking and on enquiry driver namely Umar Syeed of Rajouri told that cement has been loaded but on checking 14 bovine animals were found to be loaded stealthily into the truck without permission", said police spokesman. The truck which was half loaded with mud and 14 bovines has been seized and the driver alongwith another person namely Mulkh Raj of Chak Mohd Yar RS Pura have been taken into custody. A case under FIR no. 26/18 under section 188 of RPC and 3PC Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station. The arrest was made by Inspector Ajay Chib, SHO Jhajjar Kotli under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota, Yashveer Singh. |
