Notorious criminal/ cheater held for duping locals

Jammu, Apr 7: RS Pura Police claimed to have arrested a notorious criminal/cheater for duping locals on the pretext of providing jobs to them in police department.
Police identified the arrested criminal as Rakesh Kumar alias IG of Badyal Brahmana Tehsil RS Pura.
Police spokesman said that he was wanted in case FIR No. 45/2018 under sections 420/170/171/504/506 of RPC registered at RS Pura police station.
The said case was registered on the written complaint of one Narinder Kumar of Ward No. 06 RS Pura along with others. The said notorious fraudster has cheated a number of innocent persons of the RS Pura area and extorted huge money from them on the pretext of providing them jobs in the Police department.
Accused Rakesh Kumar is also a history-sheeter of RS Pura and is involved in the number of other criminal cases registered against him for last few years.
Rakesh Kumar is involved in cases under FIR No. 177/2002 under sections 307/309/452/323 of RPC 3/25 of Arms Act, FIR No. 88/2006 under sections 325 of RPC, FIR No. 120/2007 under sections 451/323 of RPC, FIR No. 104/2013 under sections 382/341/34 of RPC, FIR No. 31/2015 under sections 420 of RPC and FIR No. 45/2018 under sections 420/170/171/504/506 RPC.
The arrest has been made by a team of RS Pura police station headed by Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SHO RS Pura under the direct supervision of Sourabh Prashar, SDPO RS Pura, RC Kotwal, SP Hqrs Jammu and overall supervision of Vivek Gupta, SSP Jammu.
Apart from this, the general public has been advised not to fall prey to persons having fraudulent character who take money of pretext of providing Govt. Jobs.
