CII observes World Earth Day

Udhampur, Apr 22: CII organised legal awareness session on Human Rights and Juvenile Justice in Village Pancheri of District Udhampur.
For the Inclusive growth of J&K, it is essential to bring awareness in the far flung areas of J&K. The need of the hour is to make the rural population aware about their basic human rights, to aware them about the facilities and schemes which the govt. is providing for the better livelihood of every citizen. Taking the ahead, CII has instigated the mission to reach to the rural population and make them inform about their rights.
Yasmeen, Member Juvenile Justice Board was the key speaker and addressed the audience with knowledge of their human rights and informed them about juvenile issues. Baldev Singh, Sarpanch of the Village appreciated the efforts of CII and wants CII to organise more awareness session in rural areas. Alongside, CII along with Nexa Jammu celebrated World Earth Day in Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Mand by planting saplings in the premises of the school. C R Sharma, Principal Saraswati Vidya Mandir has supported the initiative by his presence. Kashif Javaid, Ranger, Ramnagar participated in the programme and applauded the CII's effort for taking such initiatives which create awareness among people about the importance of environment protection. He mentioned, it is the cumulative responsibility of the society to work towards the sustainable goals.
