Jammu, Apr 22: Ignoring the directions of the Governor and State Government, the Vice Chancellor, of University of Jammu despite being prevented to make any appointment has reportedly appointed his blue eyed man as incharge Zorawar Singh Auditorium.
Sources in JU administration informed that Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor has been elevated as in-charge Zorawar Singh auditorium, the post held by senior Professor. "After elevation of Prof Parmashwari Devi as Dean Students Welfare the crisis shook University following students' agitation, the VC installed his loyalist to another important position", sources said and added that earlier, apart from, SSVC, his blue eyed man is also holding position of Deputy Registrar (DR), Teaching Wing.
"Being sitting in VC's lap, the SSVC and DR Teaching Wing had allegedly influenced recruitment process and paved way for his relatives", sources said.
They said that Governor, NN Vohra, the Chancellor, and Higher Education department had directed the VC, Prof R D Sharma no to take any decision, as his term has expired, and he was asked to act as a caretaker till new VC joins.
"The post of SSVC held by Neeraj Sharma is also under scanner, as the Higher Education department had asked the University of Jammu to conduct an enquiry into his appointment, and subsequently his promotion, meanwhile, he is not confirmed as Deputy Registrar, as he challenged the matter of his demotion in court of law and the matter is still subjudice, he is holding vital post of Deputy Registrar, Teaching Wing", they said.
They further added disrespecting, Government and the Chancellor, the VC gave another top position to his blue eyed. |
