U-18 SFA leaves for Chandigarh to participate in I-League

Jammu, Apr 22: The State Football Academy (SFA) of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JK-SSC) dispatched its under-18 SFA league team to participate in Under-18 Youth League at Chandigarh.
During the departure, CEO SFA, Waheed-Ur-Rahman Para interacted with the players and wished them luck for the upcoming league matches and flagged off the team for Chandigarh from TRC Turf Ground Srinagar on Sunday. The team is all set to play their first match likely on Wednesday at Minerva Training against Youngsters Football Club at Minerva Ground, Chandigarh. Moreover, SFA is kept in Group B, Rest of India (ROI) Zone comprising of total five teams including two State league teams viz. Real Kashmir and Minerva Punjab Football Club, United Punjab Football Club and Yougsters Football Club. The winner of the pool will likely qualify for the final round. The team which comprises 20 members is headed by Head Coach, Mehraj-Ud-Din Wadoo, Assistant Coaches Tahir and Sanjay besides Team Manager, Salman Mir and Team Physio, Dr. Saqib. The team will play under the captainship of Momin. I-League U-18 is organised by All India Football Federation and is known to be top tier junior league of the country.
