AAP criticizes District Development Board meetings
4/22/2018 11:27:36 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 22: Jammu and Kashmir Aam Aadmi Party (JKAAP) has criticized the holding of District Development Board meetings and decisions taken but no heed was paid to them.
These views were discussed in J&K AAP meeting held here at Party Head Quarter, Chhani Himmat, Jammu, under the chairmanship of Sh. Ram Singh Chauhan AAP activist in presence of Founder & National Council Member S. Deep Singh.
During the deliberations, various speakers expressed great anguish & deep concern as to how so called District development Boards in every District headed by a non-local Minister of ruling Party, have become a class of elected representatives who make hollow & tall claims and end up making hollow promises & jokes with the people.
All most similar reports are being published in news papers every now & then in respect of all districts, about other big or small projects in various sectors, the release said and added that things would have been different had there been an elected Zila Parishad ( Distt. Dev. Boards) of elected public representatives duly elected by public in a democratic manner under Pancha-yati Raj Act.1989.
Referring to the present chaotic situation in the state with unrest, bandhs, bloodshed, destruction, confusion & chaos, JKAAP attributed it to mass scale corruption, nepotism, backdoor appointments, mass scale unprecedented rigging in election particularly in 1987, destructions of constitutional institutions, broken promises with people of the state like Delhi Agreement of 1952 & thus shattering of trust in democracy & democratic institutions, the release said and appealed the masses to read between the lines and be prepared for a comprehensive change as an alternative to the age old traditional parties of past 7 decades.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting includes S/Sh. Farooq Ahmed Banday, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Harpreet Singh, Raj Kumar Nichal, S.S Jamwal, Mehar Singh, Ram Pal Kajuria & Rameshwar Samyal.
