It is pertinent to mention here that Vishal is studying in Aakanksha College of Muzaffar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The CCTV footage of Corporation Bank's ATM has disclosed that Vishal was found using the debit card in Meerapur on January 12. Not only this, the details of the surcharge levied for not keeping the minimum balance in the account has also been entered in the pass book of Vishal's sister, whose debit card he used to operate.
Earlier, the State Bank of India (SBI) ATM's CCTV footage had also surfaced wherein it was found that Vishal made a cash withdrawal of Rs 1000 in Meerapur on January 15 at 3:05 pm.
According to the Crime Branch's charge sheet, Vishal reached Kathua at six in the morning on January 12 after the minor accused in Rassana case informed him of the kidnapping of victim girl child on January 11.
On reaching Kathua, the accused Vishal was informed by the minor accused that the kidnapped girl was kept in the Devasthan, after which the minor girl was raped by Vishal on January 13.
In the charge sheet, it is mentioned that the minor accused invited Vishal from Meerut by saying that come and calm down his lust.
The Crime Branch in its charge sheet has mentioned that Vishal was in Kathua from the morning of January 12 to the evening of January 15 but in the CCTV footage of the Corporation Bank's ATM in Meerapur, it has been shown that Vishal withdrew money on January 12 at 3:00 pm. Following the non-stop disclosures by national media, the investigation of the Crime Branch has come under the scanner.
Vishal's sister Madhu has also confirmed that the person visible in the CCTV footage of the ATM on January 12 is Vishal.
Madhu said that in the CCTV footage Vishal had worn the same trouser that she had bought for him adding that Vishal was also wearing the same chain which he used to wear.
