Despite being in power, BJP lacks guts to deport Rohingyas

Early Times Report

Kishtwar, May 9: Bharatiya Janata Party is only doing lip service by stating that Rohingyas are a threat and have emerged as a challenge for the people of Jammu.
Power Minister and senior BJP leader Sunil Sharma on Tuesday made yet another attempt to claim that Rohingyas are a "big threat" and BJP is concerned about it. Speaking at a public rally in Kishtwar organized by the party Sharma in his first public speech at his home constituency after becoming the cabinet minister said that there are many challenges before the party in terms of Jammu and Kashmir. "China and Pakistan are emerging as main threats on the borders while the settlement of Burmese commonly known as Rohingiyas are a few challenges for the party to handle."
He said that beside China, Pakistan and Rohingiyas, there were some puppets in the state of Jammu and Kashmir who are working at behest of the enemy nation Pakistan and they need to be dealt with an iron fist.
An analyst while mocking Sharma's claim said, "Despite BJP being in power in Jammu and Kashmir it has failed to get the Rohingyas deported. They rake up this issue just to hoodwink the people. They are busy enjoying the power and reaping the benefits of power. They just raise the issue of Rohingyas to remain in the news. Rest they know it very well that they cannot annoy their coalition partner PDP. As PDP has openly said that there is no harm in Rohingyas getting settled in Jammu."
"J&K is not like any other state-it is being watched by several enemy countries that had bad eye on it--- China had soar eye on it-Bangladesh is infiltrating--- Burmese commonly known as Rohingiya's are coming to Jammu & Kashmir--- Pakistan is creating disturbance in the state--- some people are even working at behest of the enemy countries who never want the development in the state--- are the few challenges before us" said Sharma.
He said that the work on two power projects in Kishtwar district will be started shortly. "Around 15000 unemployed youth, mostly locals will find jobs in these two projects."
Earlier MoS Shakti Raj Parihar in his address asked the Congress and National Conference to refrain from spreading communal disharmony in the Chenab region. He also launched a scathing attack on MLA Inderwal for addressing peoples in mosques against the PDP-BJP government.
