Early Times report

Jammu, May 21: It seems that overstay syndrome had struck the Directorate of Command Area Development Jammu as well as some of the employees in the department are overstayed for a couple of years which is violation of transfer policy. If sources are to be believed, there are couple of officials in the department who are overstaying in the office for couple of years in violation of transfer policy.
"There are so many employees in the department who have crossed so many years on the same chair", said sources adding that there are no rules for these influential officials of the department. Sources further said the officials are so influential that higher authorities never dared to transfer them.
"These overstaying officials have strong nexus in the department owing to which higher authorities", said a source adding their overstay has affected functioning.
"Transfer policy has been designed for smooth functioning of the departments and administration transfers the employees in all the government departments so that they can function smoothly but in the Directorate of Command Area Development Jammu, there is no transfer policy for some influential employees", he said.
