Shame! Separatists show no respect for Ramadan month
5/21/2018 11:44:12 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 21: Despite Centre announcing Ramadan ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir, separatists have not shown any regard for the holy month. They have been calling for shutdowns and protests in the Valley to ensure that they remain in the good books of their bosses.
Since the day holy month has commenced Kashmir witnessed stone- pelting incidents on Friday as the separatists had asked people to stage protests after the congregation prayers. On Saturday separatists called for shutdown and Lal Chowk chalo against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state. Then again on Monday they called for Eidgah chalo march.
During the past five days of the holy month life in Kashmir has remained disrupted for three days leaving the people high and dry.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said that so-called joint leadership which comprises of three Pakistan stooges, Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and so-called JKLF chief Yasin Malik have proved that they are least bothered about the people. "Their only priority is to appease their bosses. They derive sadistic pleasure by confining people within their homes and not allowing the businessmen to carry on with their activities," the analyst added.
He said that students have been the worst sufferers as the schools and colleges just open for a few days in a month. "It seems they want to turn Kashmir into another Syria. Had they been the well wishers of people of Kashmir they would have announced that they won't call for any shutdown or chalo during the holy month of Ramadan and would allow people to discharge their religious obligations in a peaceful manner," the analyst added.
A politician said, "Government of India has proved its magnanimity by showing respect for the holy month of Ramadan. The GoI has proved that separatists, terrorists and stone-pelters are the biggest enemies of the people of Kashmir."
He said, "Separatists stand exposed to the hilt. People of Kashmir should open their eyes and stop raising pro-Pakistan and pro-separatists. They should see the writing on the wall i.e. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and Azadi is nothing but an illusion."
A Kashmir watcher said that separatists are not ready to close down their shops for even one month. "They know it very well that in absence of killings they cannot keep the pot boiling. Now they are looking for other ways and means to disrupt the normal life in the Valley. They are provoking youth to pelt stones so a few more get killed and they get a chance to carry on with their activities. Shame on them," he added.
