Early Times Report
Ponnch, May 23: Most of the Government offices in Mendhar sub division remain closed and the people coming from far flung area for some piece of important works return red faced as employees in several offices attend their office at their will as higher ups have failed to keep a check on their attendance sources said here today
Source said the employees of several departments attend their respective offices at their will and were least bothered about the sufferings caused to the people who come from far flung areas to get done their works. They reach the office and wait there for hours together later return back to their homes without doing any work because employees were not available in their offices this practice has been going on since a long in Mankote, Balakote, Mendhar tehsils due to lackadaisical approach of the higher ups of concerned departments who have a soft corner for these employees, they added.
We have come from LoC after crossing the fence we reached here but here the office closed unnecessary as there is no holiday or any such thing today.
Now we will return back and our full day has gone waste, said a border dweller who had come from a far flung area for some piece of work. Mendhar youth club chairman advocate Nadeem Khan has urged the district authorities to constitute a team to look into the lackadaisical working approach of government employees who often give a damn to their offices he added.
