Jammu, May 23: Son of a sitting J&K cabinet minister who was earlier seen as chief guest at various functions on behalf of his father has crossed the limits of misusing his father's position.
In the latest incident, the 'pampered' son of the minister summoned a gazetted officer to his residence, sources told Early Times.
They said the newly inducted minister in the Mehbooba Mufti-led cabinet has given so much privileges to his son that the latter summoned a gazetted officer of a department which falls under the portfolio of his father.
The sources said the son of the minister also took the gazetted officer to one of the establishments of the department for inspection.
"This is the height of arrogance that son of a sitting cabinet minister is indulging in such practices and the father is encouraging him", said the sources, adding that the minister is preparing platform for launching his son in the 2021 assembly elections.
In the past, the cabinet minister sent his son to attend a number of functions as chief guest on his behalf which clearly indicates that the minister is preparing a platform for his son with such cheap tactics.
The sources said there are some associates of the cabinet minister who want to post their choicest officer. That is why the son of the cabinet minister summoned the gazetted officer and also took him for inspection of a department which the said gazetted officer is heading. |
