Fast track recruitment process merely a slogan
279 post lying vacant in Jammu division

Jammu, May 23: The present dispensation of People Democratic Party (PDP) and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has failed to fill the vacancy of patwaris in Jammu division as nearly 279 posts are lying vacant.
Although, in 2015 the department of Revenue had referred nearly 219 posts of Patwari of Jammu division to Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) and asked the recruitment agency to start recruitment process on fast track basis but after lapse of two and half year, the process is still hanging in balance and the slogan "fast track" is confined to papers only.
An aspirant wishing anonymity informed Early Times that the JKSSB had invited applications for the post of patwari vide advertisement notice No. 06 of 2015 dated 01/09/2015 and conducted written test for the same post in 2017. After a long time now the recruitment agency has called the shortlisted candidates for interview cum document verification after a long time on 09/05/2018 but the final call was yet to be announced.
"The inordinate delay on part of recruitment agency to complete the recruitment process has exposed the tall claims of present dispensation of PDP-BJP government", alleged an aspirant of same post.
It is pertinent to mention here that the district wise vacancies of patwari, the district Kathua at its higher pedestal as 60 post are lying vacant, followed by district Jammu with 52 posts and the district Samba at lowest pedestal with 8 post of patwari are vacant. Whereas the Doda district 41, Rajouri 25, Udhampur 27, Reasi 22, Poonch 15, Kisthwar 12 and Ramban 18 post of patwari lying vacant.
