10 civilians injured in Bijbehara grenade blast

Anantnag, May 23, 2018: At least ten civilians including a woman suffered injuries in a grenade blast in Bijbehara on Wednesday.
Among the injuried, 12 year- old -boy said is in a critical condition and is being undergoing in Srinagar's SMHS hospital.
Kashmir Police said that militants lobbed a grenade on forces' vehicle in Goriwan Chowk of Bijbehara; however it missed the intended target and exploded on other side of the road and injured at least ten civilians. Injured were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Bijbehara for medical treatment.
Four among the injured, who according to doctors at Bijbehara hospital had received critical injuries, were moved down to Srinagar for speacilized treatment, however A young boy aged 12 from Zainpora Shopian identified as Fazal Ahmad son of Mohd Maqbool is said to be in critical condition.
Three others were also shifted to Srinagar. They have been identified as Daizy Jan wife of Manzoor Ahamd, Rozy Akhtar daughter of Ghulam Ahmed resident of Hassanpora and Muneera Akhtar aged 20 years daughter of Abdul Rehman Dar resident of Sangam have also received injuries and have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Six persons with minor injuries are being treated at Bijbehara hospital.
Anantnag Police said that they have registered a case in this regard and taken up investigation into the matter.
Militants, thus again proved their anti-people, anti-Kashmir stance by targeting innocent civilians in the holy month of Ramadan as Government of India has already restrained security forces from initiating anti-insurgency operations in Kashmir.
