JAMMU, May 23: An urgent meeting of the extended working committee of Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K, was held under the chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak.
Members of Central Working Committee Prominent Muslims from Bathindi, Narwal and Sunjawan, led by Noor Alam, former Sarpanch Bathindi, participated in the meeting as special invitees. Several important and burning issues concerning Jammu particularly the intense bombardment by Pak troops along the border and consequent losses of human lives and sufferings of people living in the border belt, were deliberated.
All the members of the working Committee expressed grave concern over the firing assaults by Pak Army on the innocent civilians resulting loss of life and property. The members demanded permanent solution of these frequent violations of Peace on the borders and asked the Central and State Governments to immediately diffuse the tension and mitigate the sufferings of border dwellers on permanent bases.
Among those who participated in the press conference included Prof. N. K. Dogra, Col K. S. Jamwal, Prem Sagar Gupta, Brig. M. S. Jamwal, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Amanat Ali Shah and Dr. Raghubir Singh. |
