Jammu, May 23: Inter School District Level Competitions in the sports discipline of Fencing (Girls), football, Swimming, Rugby, Hockey and Thang-sa-do under the age group of 14 and 17yrs (Boys) concluded today here at Hakku Stadium, GGM Science College, Heritage school, Green Field and M.A Stadium Jammu respectively.
SOS Boys U/14 yrs & New National HSS Simbal camp U/17 yrs lifted championship in Hockey. The competitions were organized by Department of Youth Services & Sports under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad , KAS, Director General, Youth Services & Sports and under the overall supervision of Sh. Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu. While Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu is the organising Secretary of the tournament. Chanchal Kour DYSSO Jammu along with ZPEOs Jeet Singh & Tarseem Kalsi visited the venues and interacted with players and officials. while addressing the participants she said that I am pleased that record number of students players took part in the games despite hot and humid conditions prevailing in Jammu city. Later on, she wished them good luck for the next level of competitions. |
