Dharmarth team visits Kheer Bhawani Shrine

Jammu, June 3: Mela Kheer Bhawani, a religious festival of Kashmiri Pandits is being celebrated on June 20, 2018 at the Devi Asthapan at Tulmul in Ganderbal District of Kashmir which is managed and maintained by J&K Dharmarth Trust. This important and main festival is celebrated every year on Jaishth Ashtami and is a traditional festival of Kashmiri Pandits. Thousands of devotees from Jammu and other parts of the country including the visitors attend the mela and seek holy blessings of Mata. The President of J&K Dharmarth Trust, B R Kundal along with office bearers visited the holy shrine and took stock of the preparations and arrangements for this upcoming Mela Kheer Bhawani. In an interaction with the management, B R Kundal enquired about the facilities to be provided to the devotees during the mela which include accommodation, security and other facilities. He gave some on the spot instructions to the management and asked them to gear up for making this festival a success and convenient for the devotees. He went around the shrine complex and reviewed the preparations and other arrangements. The President urged upon the management to ensure proper accommodation, drinking water, cleanliness and proper hygiene during the mela. The trust office bearers also talked to the local administration and sought their cooperation in this regard. B R Kundal was also informed that the arrangement for a langar also has been made by the trust besides langars by other social and religious organizations.
