Roll back hike in petrol, diesel prices: Sahil

Jammu, June 3: Hike in Petrol-Diesel price should be directly proportional to the international market price of crude oil viza-viz the daily needs of common people said Sahil Jamwal, Executive Member, AJKYF while demanding the roll back of the Petrol-Diesel price in a meeting held here today at the headquarters of AJKYF on current unrest among the common man of the State. Jamwal further expressed his concern about the crises of electricity and drinking water supply shortage and urged upon the State as well as Union Governments to ensure adequate supply of the essential services. Ankit Sharma in his address said that the government is totally dependent on the private companies and is giving unnecessarily benefits to them by eliminating tendering for repairing and supply of transformers and electric wires which is causing delay in complication of work within time frame. Dr. Kamal Verma a Radiologist, explain the status of international price of crude oil and relates it to the current price of Petrol-Diesel in State as well as in the Country, the current price of crude oil is 54 dollar per barrel in international market which come to Rs. 26 per litre. Whereas, the current selling price of Petrol is Rs.79.88 per litre and Diesel is Rs.70.27 per litre which is inexcusable and further criticize both the governments for increasing fuel price every day even after the low price of crude oil in the international market. Prominent among those who deliberated were Arjun Sharm, State Convener, Nakul Sharma, Sanjay Sandhu, Amit Sharma, S.S. Khajuria, Shatmanyu Sharma, Kartik Upadhayay, Akshay Raina, B.C.Raina among other.
